Information about the Orgasm Shot® in Palm Beach…
What does the O-Shot treat?
Stress Incontinence: The O-Shot has changed many women’s lives though its natural properties to ‘heal’ the body in ways there were once no options. One application of the O-Shot is with stress incontinence. Up to 20% of all women over the age of 20 have urine leakage when they sneeze, cough, and laugh. 1 out of 5 women is a staggering number, but when you raise the age to women 40 and older it is closer to 1 out of 3 women. It changes many women’s self-esteem and self-image because of the embarrassment associated with it. Women end up dressing differently in-case of leakage happens it wouldn’t be so noticeable. There are medications that can help with stress incontinence, but the side effects can be miserable to say the least. There has been significant improvement in patients with stress incontinence who are treated with the O-Shot.
Dyspareunia (painful intercourse): Many women have pain during intercourse sometimes relating to a situation such as childbirth and sometimes they have pain with no known reason. Regardless of the situation that causes the pain, the O-Shot is the only option that helps women with this problem. The cause of dyspareunia is sometimes related to scar tissue from childbirth or injury, dryness that may or may not be related to menopause, and again sometimes there is no identifiable reason. No matter the cause, the O-Shot has been shown effective in all the situations I have discussed in this paragraph.
Inability to Orgasm: An unbelievable number of women have a lot of trouble reaching climax and orgasm during sexual relations. There are a few medications that help women with arousal, but doesn’t address the actual physical orgasm. Most women end up even more frustrated since she is turned on, but still can’t climax. The change in women after the O-Shot, is remarkable and I have spoken with many women who say it has changed their life completely. While it may seem trivial if orgasm is not a problem to achieve, it can destroy relationships and self-esteem or women when it is absent.
What is the science of the O-Shot and how does it work?
The O-Shot takes 30 minutes to an hour, but the most of the time involved is preparation. Once everything is ready to go, the procedure itself takes maybe a minute or two. The process begins with a simple blood draw as you would for any blood test. Once the blood is collected it is put into a machine called a centrifuge. This machine spins the whole blood so the red blood cells fall to the bottom of the container and the plasma stays on top. While red blood cells are so important, they have no role in the procedure so we remove the plasma and toss the red blood cells. To simplify plasma, when you fall down and skin your knee, you will notice a yellow/clear, gooey layer that develops in the area of injury. That yellow/clear goo is plasma racing to the area of injury to heal and recreate the tissue that was damaged. With this plasma we have separated out, we put it back into the centrifuge and let it spin again. This separates the plasma into platelet rich plasma and platelet poor plasma. While both are magical in their action, the Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is the miracle worker. What the PRP does when injected into the body is it tells the body to ‘fix’ that area through growth factors. It tells the body that this area is injured and it creates healthy new tissue that is normally there such as increasing vascularity, nerve endings, glands and tissue. This recreation of tissue in this area helps with sphincter control for incontinence, increased sensitivity, increased lubrication and, for areas that are scarred, it replaces that scar tissue with the tissue that was there before the injury. Over 8 to 12 weeks the full effects are seen from the treatment. Does the procedure hurt? On a scale of 0 to 10 (10 being their worst pain ever felt), most women give this procedure a 2. How much does it cost? The cost of this procedure is set by the ingenious proprietor Dr. Runels. For more information, please visit our “contact us” page.
