The need for presentation in the current world is immense. This is not just stipulated to handy works but also applies to a person’s appearance. Unfortunately, for most people, a proper dressing sense is not presentable enough and well combed hair is not presentable enough, the need to showcase one’s facial features has become very prevalent as well. As a result, people have started resorting to several methods to get better and more presentable features. Surgeries are the go-to for those who feel an overwhelming need to change a very significant part of their body. Therefore, surgeries for cosmetic reasons have become very prevalent in the present age. Especially in the Asian countries like Korea, surgery is as easy as buying a mobile phone and almost all individuals have gone through surgery at one point or another.

One of the main problems in a world where facial or bodily features are given so much importance is the show of wrinkles. Wrinkling is a natural method of the skin to show that it is aging and after a certain time, wrinkling is very hard to keep at bay no matter how healthy a living one has been living. However, newer and simpler ways have come up in the present day. Botox injections have become the current favorite

of people all over the world. The process of Botox includes, (as suggested by the name itself) injecting Botox into the skin in order to relax the process of wrinkling. What Botox does is that, when injected, it paralyzes the muscles temporarily preventing it from making any changes in the physical state of the muscle. Thus, since the muscle is temporarily rendered immobile, they fail to form the dreaded wrinkles.

Botox is made up of a neurotoxin that is produced by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. This toxin is called botulinum toxin. After formal trials, on April 12, 2002, the FDA announced regulatory approval of botulinum toxin type A (Botox Cosmetic) to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate-to-severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines). Botox may also be used to treat cervical dystonia, severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis, strabismus, blepharospasm, neurogenic detrusor overactivity, chronic migraine, upper limb spasticity.

The present age has seen a lot of advancements in the field of science and therefore, something as simple as Botox is highly appreciated seeing that almost over seventy percentages of women feel the need to hide their wrinkles and almost forty percent of the male population feel the need to get rid of wrinkles in their face. This Botox has also helped a lot in the fashion as well as the cinema industry seeing that the main job of the professionals in these fields consist of showing off their faces. Their face is their job and Botox injections make sure that these ‘jobs’ are sustained for as long as the toxin can be used on the body.
