Typically Botox will last for about three months, but can be less in some patients with faster metabolisms. Dermal filler timelines depend on how thick or thin the filler is, a thicker filler will last about one year, whereas a thinner filler will last roughly six to nine months. All of these products wear off gradually and naturally.
Effects from Botox take up to 12 days to take full effect, while the difference from dermal fillers is apparent immediately. Some swelling may occur so we tell our patients to wait 3-5 days before deciding if they want additional fillers.
